SEASON'S GREETINGS The leaders and staff of the Academy extend their wishes for a very happy holiday season and a prosperous 2008!!! 2008 ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING SELECTION GUIDE Invitations to participate in the 2008 edition were mailed the beginning of this month to all BCEEs & BCEEMs in private practice. Participating in the Selection Guide is a wonderful way to support the Academy. If you would like to reserve space, please call Sammi at Academy Headquarters, 410-266-3311 or e-mail at jsolmo@aaee.net. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE YOUR FIRM LISTED!!!!! The 2008 edition will also be published in its entirety in a section on the Academy's web site significantly broadening the exposure to all firms listed. Plus each firm's web site will be linked to the firm's listing so that interested persons can immediately learn more about each firm's capabilities. 2008 EXCELLENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING The entry deadline for the 2008 E3 Competition is February 1, 2008. Entry submission is entirely electronic utilizing an easy online upload. NOMINATIONS FOR AWARD RECIPIENTS The deadline for receiving nominations for the Maskew Fair Award, Edward J. Cleary Award, Stanley E. Kappe Award and Honorary Award are due December 31, 2007. ANNUAL CERTIFICATION RENEWAL The 2008 certification renewals were mailed in September. It is important that it be completed and returned with payment as soon as possible. Current certifications expire December 31, 2007. Any BCEE & BCEEM not having completed the certification renewal process by January 31, 2008 will lose his or her specialty certification and listing in the 2008 edition of Who's Who in Environmental Engineering. Please make sure you have submitted the necessary forms and payment before the deadline. If we can be of assistance, please call the office. COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS President-Elect Dee has finalized committee appointments for the Academy's next program year (January 1 to December 31) and appointment letters will be mailed to those newly appointed this year.
