2011 Environmental Engineering Selection & Career Guide - Last Opportunity

Invitations to participate in the 2011 edition were e-mailed in January. Consulting firms, public agencies, and utilities find the Selection & Career Guide an excellent way to advertise and simultaneously support the Academy. AAEE distributes thousands of Selection Guides free all year long at Sponsoring Organization conferences and AAEE activities. It is always a hot commodity as operators, engineers, scientists, project managers, students, and others go out of their way to pick one up at the AAEE Booth. Remember, public organizations receive a free simple listing (name, address, telephone contact, and Website). To add a 100-word description, the cost is $350 then $60 per BCEE or BCEEM listed. There are additional options for branch offices.

The 2011 edition will also be published in its entirety in a section on the Academy's website, significantly broadening the exposure to all firms listed. Each firm's website will be linked to the firm's listing enabling interested persons to immediately learn more about your organization and its capabilities.

Throughout the year at events, some members have tried to show their clients their listing in the Selection & Career Guide only to find that their firm did not take advantage of a guide listing. To reserve space, please contact Sammi at Academy Headquarters, 410-266-3311, jsolmo@aaee.net, or click here and download the reservation form. Don't miss out on this opportunity to have your firm listed!!!

Annual Certification Renewals

The 2011 certification renewal process is nearing the end. For those who have not renewed, you can still retain your certification without examination by completing the 2011 certification renewal forms no later than March 31 with payment. Help Recruit New BCEEs and BCEEMs

There are less than two months before all applications for the 2011 certification cycle are due. Recruiting a new applicant takes only 5-10 minutes per week. The Academy asks you to encourage at least five individuals to apply and to follow up with them periodically to support their initiative. The goal for 2011 is 320 applications. Remember: Application and Reference Forms can be filled out online, printed, and mailed to the Academy. Also, photocopies of college diplomas may be accepted in lieu of college transcripts. There are several types of recruitment tools on the Website including a comprehensive brochure, a sample email, a sample letter of encouragement from a top officer, and more. Click here or visit http://www.aaee.net/Website/MemberRecruitmentTools.htm. For recruiting guidelines, click here or go to http://www.aaee.net/Website/RecruitingGuidelines.htm.

Just as you were encouraged to apply, now is the time to advise your professional associates to earn their Badge of Excellence. AAEE will mail application packages directly to qualified candidates upon request. Candidates can also download application forms and instructions at http://www.aaee.net under http://www.aaee.net/Website/HowtoApply.htm.
