2008 ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING SELECTION GUIDE - LAST CALL Invitations to participate in the 2008 edition were e-blasted in December to all BCEEs and BCEEMs in private practice. Participating in the Selection Guide is a wonderful way to support the Academy. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE YOUR FIRM LISTED! The 2008 edition will also be published in its entirety in a section on the Academy's web site significantly broadening the exposure to all firms listed. Plus each firm's web site will be linked to the firm's listing enabling interested persons to immediately learn more about each firm's capabilities. 2008 EXCELLENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING The entry deadline for the 2008 E3 Competition is February 1, 2008. Entry submission is entirely electronic utilizing an easy online upload. Remember, it is necessary to enter to win. ANNUAL CERTIFICATION RENEWAL As long as we receive your renewal by January 31st you will be included in the 2008 edition of Who's Who in Environmental Engineering. You will also avoid being charged a 10% late fee that we are imposing on all membership renewals processed after January 31st. If you have misplaced your renewal form, you can print a replacement form directly from our website by clicking this link. AAEE MEETINGS Regional Academy meetings have been organized. These are great opportunities to both learn and network with fellow Academy members. Make your plans to attend! The Austin AAEE Meeting will be held Thursday evening, January 24, 6 to 9 p.m. The featured speaker is David Schanbacher, P.E., Chief Engineer of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, who will be presenting "What's New at the Commission". The meeting will be held at the Jackson-Walker Law Firm, 100 Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas. For registration information contact Brian Flynn, P.E., BCEE at bflynn@aol.com. New England Water Environment Association will hold its Annual Conference and Exhibition January 27-30, 2008. Executive Director, Larry Pencak; AIChE Trustee, Pat Canzano; Past President, Jeanette Brown; and BCEE, Stephen Seigal will participate in a session titled "The American Academy of Environmental Engineers proudly presents....and the Winner is YOU, the PROFESSION, and these 2007 AWARD WINNING Projects" on Monday afternoon, January 28 at the Marriott Copley Square Hotel. For registration information, go the NEWEA's website, www.newea.org. New York Water Environment Association will hold its 80th Annual Meeting February 4 and 5 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel. The AAEE breakfast will be held at the hotel on Tuesday, February 5 at 7 a.m. Registration information is available on the www.nywea.org website.
