2009 Annual Meeting

The 2009 Annual Meeting of the Board of Trustees is only a month away - October 15. Registration packages were mailed to Officers & Trustees, Committee Chairs and State Representatives last month. If you have not received your package, please call headquarters immediately. All members of the Academy are welcome to attend. To register, please contact Sammi at JSOlmo@aaee.net for details. A complete Agenda will be sent to those attending as we get closer to the meeting date.

Corporate Sponsor(s) Needed

The AAEE Annual Meeting is seeking one or two corporate sponsors. A $2,500 sponsorship includes recognition at the meeting and logo/link on the AAEE Website for three months. A $5,000 sponsorship includes recognition at the event, logo/link on the AAEE Website for four months, and poster recognition as an AAEE Annual Meeting Sponsor at the AAEE Exhibit Booth during WEFTEC. 2010 Kappe Lecturer

The 2010 Kappe Lecturer has not been selected as of this edition. Details on the lecturer and the lectures will be reported in the Winter issue of the Environmental Engineer.

2010 Excellence in Environmental Engineering Competition

Begin planning your entry now. Deadline for entries is February 1, 2010.

The AAEE E3 Competition for 2010 is an entirely electronic submission process. Participants will be able to submit their completed entry directly online. Judging will also be conducted electronically allowing for an unlimited geographic representation of judges. Look for details on our website at http://www.aaee.net/Website/E3Competition.htm

AAEE Career Center

The interactive job board is free to job seekers and is in response to increased demands by employers and recruiters for highly qualified environmental engineering job candidates. Employers are able to post available positions directly to the Career Center for a fee of $495/position for a 30 day listing (click here for additional rates and a full list of packages). Annual Certification Renewal

The 2010 Certification Renewal package is in the mail to you. The BOT approved a $5 increase for all categories except Student for each year until 2011. It is important that it be completed and returned with payment as soon as possible and definitely before December 31, 2009. It is important to get corrections on your Member Data Form to us no later than December 31, 2009 to ensure those changes are printed in the 2010 edition of Who's Who in Environmental Engineering.
