Summer Office Hours Academy offices will close at noon on Fridays beginning Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Executive Director Search AAEE's Executive Director, Larry Pencak, will be leaving his position this summer. Dean and Professor Emeritus University of New Hampshire Senior Environmental Engineer Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. Confirmation of their election will take place at the 2008 Annual Meeting in November. Their official term starts January 1, 2009. Who's Who and Selection Guide. The 2008 editions of the Who's Who in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Engineering Selection Guide were mailed in May. The AAEE Career Center. The interactive job board is free to job seekers and is in response to increased demands by employers and recruiters for highly qualified environmental engineering job candidates. Employers will be able to post available positions directly to the Career Center for a fee of $250/position for a 30 day listing. Employer payment will be made directly online by credit card. Click here to access the AAEE Career Center. 2008 Excellence in Environmental Engineering Competition (E3) Twenty-six entries were submitted for the 2008 competition. Though it is still new, the electronic process has made it easier and less expensive for entrants to submit their projects. Winning entries were revealed during the AAEE Awards Luncheon on April 30 and are profiled in the Spring issue of Environmental Engineer. This year's winning entries, as well as entries from previous years, may be viewed online at the E3 Competition section of the web site, which is accessible by clicking this link. AAEE Honors Four Distinguished Environmental Engineers. The Academy honored four distinguished environmental engineers at the AAEE Awards Luncheon held on April 30 in Washington, D.C. R. Tim Haug (Gordon Maskew Fair Award), Brian P. Flynn (Stanley Kappe Award), Jeanette A. Brown (Edward J. Clearly Award), and A. Sekarajasekaran (Honorary Board Certified Environmental Engineer). Click here to view the criteria for the AAEE Awards. The Kappe Lecturer for 2008 is Jeanette A. Brown, P.E., BCEE, Executive Director of the Stamford Water Pollution Control Authority. Her lectures will be presented during the Fall 2008 semester. Her profile and abstracts for the lectures offered can be found on the Kappe Lecture section of the website. The Spring issue of Environmental Engineer (Volume 44, Number 2) is now available.
